Long-term commitment ⌛

Reduction of intermediaries

We are our own suppliers and manage the logistics chain from the cocoa tree to the bar ourselves. When we have to work with intermediaries, we select them according to our ethical criteria (for example, we supply ourselves with raw, unrefined organic cane sugar, which we cannot yet grow on our land)

Certifications

Our goal is to promote the quality of our products with all possible certifications. Whether local or international, we believe that it is thanks to these certifications that it will be possible to standardize good environmental and social practices. On the other hand, these have a price and we cannot yet afford this investment, although we respect most of the specifications (Fair Trade, Anabio, Rainforest, etc.)

Nutritional impact

To ensure that our chocolate is a healthy pleasure, we strive to keep recipes with only 3 ingredients: cocoa, cocoa butter and raw (unrefined) cane sugar. This also helps preserve the original flavors of the beans.

On the other hand, we are forced to add soy lecithin (natural emulsifier) to ensure good preservation of the products over time.

Fixed sector

We are not looking to expand our activities to large volumes but only to have a healthy expansion around our scope.

Perspectives of evolution

Natex aims to transform and promote all cocoa co-products (pods, juice, grade II beans, brans, etc.) towards other utility sectors such as cosmetics, agri-food, agronomy or even medicine.

Also, Natex imagines a long-term vision where it could reproduce this development pattern with other Togolese products (coffee, dried fruits, oils, etc.).
